Description

The AVB MINING KIT series type КМ-223 is a kit of electrical insulating products which includes:

  • electrical two-component polyurethane resin of the AVB MINING COMPOUND series type 55;
  • injection fitting;
  • sealing mastics for restoring insulation of cores;
  • PVC tapes and spacer web for creating a volumetric form and external jacket;
  • wire cleaning kit;
  • protective gloves.

    Technical features

    • the kit can be used both to splice the main cable and to branch another cable from the main cable;
    • universal design of the body of the kit makes it possible to use the kit on cables of different diameters;
    • installation of the kit does not require special tools and performed without heating or open flame;
    • the splice has exellent waterproofing properties. It can be used in watered excavations and flooded places;
    • the splice has high mechanical strength, resistance to ageing and chemicals.

    Application

    The kit is designed for splice and branch a cable with unshielded conductors, rated voltage up to 1 kV with PVC, polyethylene or ethylene propylene rubber insulation of types ВВГ, АВВГ and analogic. The kit is designed for use in damp rooms, tunnels, channels, cable mezzanines, collectors, mines, hazardous areas, industrial premises, flooded structures and cable racks.

    When using expansion kits AVB MINING KIT type KM-10х, KM-223  can be used to splice and branch armoured cables up to 1 kV type ВБбШв and analogic. The installation of the kit does not require the use of a gas burner or a heat blower.
